About Jim

A retired Army colonel and veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam, Jim was born in Nebraska and grew up during the Great Depression. During World War II, he served under General Douglas MacArthur from Australia, through New Guinea and the island campaigns of the South West Pacific Area, the liberation of the Philippines, and the occupation of Japan. Following his military career, he served as an international military affairs analyst for the GAO. He and his wife, Pat, live in Honolulu where he continues to pursue his life-long interest in political commentary, cartooning and caricature.
